The students and staff of St. Michael’s School participated in the Ash Wednesday ceremony at Iglesia de Las Lomas, marking the beginning of the Lenten season. This important religious event, which symbolizes repentance and preparation for Easter, brought the school community together in a moment of reflection and faith.
During the ceremony, the priest, Father José María, placed ashes on the foreheads of students and teachers, reminding them of the significance of humility, forgiveness, and spiritual renewal. The service included prayers, readings, and hymns that encouraged everyone to embrace Lent as a time of personal growth and closeness to God.
The participation of St. Michael’s School in this sacred tradition highlights the school’s commitment to fostering values of faith and solidarity among its students. It was a meaningful experience that encouraged reflection and reinforced the importance of kindness, compassion, and inner transformation.
